Sin Cos Tan : Quadrant and the CAST Rule
Things to remember :	In the first quadrant, the values for all positive. In the second quadrant, the values for sin and cosec are positive only. In the third quadrant, the values for tan and cot are positive only. In the fourth quadrant, the values for cos and sec are positive only.

Mnemonic Device :	CAST
Explanation :	Since sin and cosec are inverse of each other take Sin only. In the same way take COS and TAN. Now, take out S from Sin, C from COT and T form Tan. Since, In the first quadrant All are positive we take A. If we start from C we get CAST. Now by remembering we can remember that: In the first quadrant, the values for all positive. In the second quadrant, the values for sin and cosec are positive only. In the third quadrant, the values for tan and cot are positive only. In the fourth quadrant, the values for cos and sec are positive only.
