PMS
Acid = AC = Freeze
Base = Buffalo
Methyl Orange = Orange
Bromothymol Blue = Thigh
Phenolphthalein = Phenol
Mnemonic device starts now… (Please imagine as much as you
can. All what you need is imagination)
Methyl Orange – Imagine that you are putting orange on freeze. Where will you put? In the bucket where there are RED apples.
We know that we give orange to buffalos when they are rotten
and YELLOW.
Bromothymol Blue – Imagine that you are watching your
brother’s thigh inside freeze and seeing YELLOW. Because there is too cold.
Now, you showed your brother’s thigh to buffalo then it
kicked and became BLUE.
Phenolphthalein – Imagine there is phenol inside freeze.
That is colourless. Why? Because there is no reason to be coloured.
You threw phenol on buffalo’s eye. It got pink.
