Mnemonic device for Numerator and Denominator

Nume and New are somehow same while pronouncing. So remember Numerator as New.

Now, we associate it with the already known thing. We know that shopkeepers keep the new items in front or at first. The same is the case here. Numerator means new and we is at front or first. In case of fraction it is Upper one because you write it first.

Why will I remember? :
When you will hear Numerator you will be reading Nume and New. Now you will remember it is placed at front.
